Magazine Spreads

Re-versioning the shoot.

Once the shoot and the editing was completed, the hard work began. I wanted to get our images out there for people to see. I decided it would be a good idea to keep re-versioning the images as much as we could to use them to our full advantage. We are completing a video which should be on site this week that contains lots of images, text and a voice over to give the photo shoot context. I also thought it would look professional to make the images into a magazine spread as if it would go to print which is seen below. It would be a good idea to print some of these spreads and have them around the campus if possible. I have also uploaded lots of the images to our Flickr account and used lots of tags in an attempt to gain accreditation if people decide to use them. I have also uploaded them to the site as a separate image and text as this works better with the website system than the spreads below.

The above shoot was inspired by 'The Great Gatsby' concentrating mainly on its glamorous fashion such as the expensive flapper dress and glittery silver sandals. We included the accessories such as the headband and feather bower to complete the look.

This shoot was also influenced by 'The Great Gatsby' but concentrated specifically on one of the main characters, 'Jay Gatsby'. Luckily the fashion then is very similar to that on the high street now such as the jumper and the chino trousers.

This shoot was influenced by Audrey Hepburn and her poses that mainly included a cigarette holder. This shot relates to the numerous shoots she modelled in back in the 60s. We improvised with the cigarette as we thought it was an important prop to use as we couldn't get hold of the cigarette holder.
