Autumn/Winter hair colour

A blonde tone is still the colour for this winter however the bleach and peroxide blonde season has ended. The ‘blonde bombshell’ look has been replaced by a more understated mixed blonde tone. Celebrating that blonde isn’t just one colour the autumn/winter colour will remain fair whilst embracing warmer tones such as caramel, cappuccino and coral through it.

‘A list’ celebrities such as Cameron Diaz and Chantelle Houghton have been seen wearing the new warmer tones. To carry the tones best a slight root should still be visible on top of the head to blend the bleach with the warmer toned strands. This creates a natural look preventing the hair from looking too bright as the winter season approaches us.  Hair brands have released a variety of  ‘do it yourself’ mixed blondes hair dye for you to create the new look at home. This new colour is brilliant for women who have ruined their hair by bleaching it too much as the look can be created by using minimal bleach.

This darker colour works well with pale skin tones as it includes a warmer colour to break up the brightness from the bleach. This brings out the lighter skin tone making it appear more radiant and fresh looking. For the more tanned skin tones you will also benefit from this mixed blonde colouring as it will allow the skin to appear bronzed. It will reduce the orange tones of the skin that appeared occasionally with the bleach hair colour. The caramel and cappuccino colours provide warmth to the hair making it appear more natural.
The autumn/winter season welcomes the natural wavy look of hair. With celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Jennifer Aniston wearing the natural wavy style we cant go wrong! Products such as ‘surf spray’ help to create that wind swept natural curled look as flaunted on the New York catwalk for this season. A red lipstick or a similar tone should be worn to complete this look. The red brings out the colouring of the hair making it appear more natural and classy throughout the cold winter season.
